Invictus Games Toronto 2017 competitors will get an opportunity to try their hand at sailing at a Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) hosted sailing demonstration and participants’ camp.
With sailing set to make its Invictus Games debut at Sydney 2018, the event is an opportunity for competitors to learn the ropes, enjoy a harbour tour on Toronto Bay and watch the RCYC sailing camp and club championship.
RCYC is home to Canada’s Warrior Sailing Program. Warrior Sailing coaches and past participants will teach the basics of sailing and assist with the on-water fun on the 30 September event.
The camp will offer basic instruction and on-water rotations in the Sonars, taking groups of 3-4 in rotations on the water. Competitors and their family and friends can sign-up to the event and find more information at the family and friends desk at the Sheraton hotel.
