A family affair

LT COL Kimberlea Juchniewicz and her sons Max, aged 10 and Leo, aged five, were all smiles on the set of Invictus, a poem by William Ernest Henley. As Kimberlea explains, the trio recreated a familiar scene within their household.

She’s got the power

Australian team member Tiffany White will compete in powerlifting and indoor rowing at the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. Since taking up sport Tiffany is a happier and healthier person. During the filming of Invictus, a poem by William Ernest Henley, Tiffany was supported by her team mate, Ben Farinazzo.

A mother’s love

Gwen Cherne’s husband SGT Peter J Cafe ended his life in February 2017. Gwen, a board member of the War Widows’ Guild of Australia (NSW), was proud to share the filming of Invictus, a poem by William Ernest Henley, with her daughter Emily. “There were moments I got to share with Emily that pride that I have in Pete and what he did and how he served his country,” said Gwen.

This story is based on the power of family, how it’s helped with healing both physical and emotional wounds, and the realisation that two are stronger together.
