Australian Army Cadets to cheer on wounded warriors

The Australian Army Cadets will work together with Invictus Games Sydney 2018 presented by Jaguar Land Rover to cheer on our wounded warriors from all around Australia in the lead up to and during the Games from 20-27 October.

A team of 72 current and former serving Australian Defence Force members will compete at the Games against competitors from 17 other nations in 11 adaptive sports.

Australian Army Cadets Deputy Commander Colonel Tara Bucknall said the Australian Army Cadets are proud to be an ADF and Veteran Community Partner and support current and former serving members in their recovery from life-changing injury and illness.

“The Australian Army Cadets is a leading national youth development organisation that shares the values of courage and teamwork with the Australian Army,” said Colonel Bucknall.

“The Australian Army Cadets are 16,000 strong and spread across over 220 units throughout Australia. We hope we can be a national cheer squad for all competitors.”

Invictus Games Sydney 2018 will attract 500 competitors and will recognise over 1,000 family members and friends who play an integral role in supporting our wounded warriors.
